Paul passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the age of 69. He was born July 12, 1945 in Durand Michigan to the late Harry and Helen (Gildemeister) Durling. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served as the Post Commander of the Reed Raymond V.F.W. Post # 2272, Durand Michigan from 1974-1976. He was an avid woodworker and was retired from General Motors Corp..
He is survived by his wife Colleen and two children, Yvonne (Grimaldo) Robles of East Lansing and Brian Durling of Durand MI. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Nora, Carmen, Javier, and Gabriel; 2 brothers, Eric (Karen) Durling of Davison MI, Tom (Diana) Durling of Onsted MI; his sister, Janice Williamson of Durand MI; sister in law, Joan Durling of Vernon MI; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Keith Durling.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11 AM at the Durand United Methodist Church, 10016 E. Newburg Rd., Durand Michigan. Pastor Beverly Marr will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon Michigan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Durand United Methodist Church from 4PM - 8PM and on Friday morning at church from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy, are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or Memorial Cancer Center, 721 N.
