Condolences to all Paul's family & friends. I loved Paul. He was so much like his dad, Harry, Both were special people. ( We were 3rd cousins as I figure it.) He will be greatly missed!

I knew Paul as our Youth Leader (along with Colleen) at Vernon United Methodist Church (MYF). It was Paul's great sense of humor, his laughter, and his "child-like" behavior that helped him relate to many of us! I know it could be annoying at times Colleen! LOL...but that was Paul!! All the camping and canoe trips we had together, along with the hobo dinners and mystery stew still hold great memories and recipes that I use today to teach my kids and grandkids! And who could forget the crazy/fun trip we had going down to do mission work at Red Bird Mission! On the way down we went through Mammoth Cave, stayed overnight at Asbury College in the dorms, saw Abraham Lincolns birthplace...see I still remember...we had so much fun! Remember keeping the watermelon cold in the natural spring running out the side of the mountain at Red Bird Colleen? And the Ice Cold Showers we had to take cause there was no hot water. We also had to contend with the "wheel snakes" (their legend was written on our cabin walls) running down the hillside. Before we left Red Bird, we went to church...Paul was complaining that he didn't get to eat breakfast & during church his stomach started growling so loud, it almost echoed !! We tried to cover up our laughing...and his stomach with our coats!!! I saw him a few years back at the Vernon Church on Christmas Eve, when I went with my Mom...it was so good to see him! He reminded me that we needed to round up all the MYF 'kids' and go camping or something...Life just gets away from us when we become adults & it goes too fast. I will miss him, but will treasure the fun memories I have!! I will keep you all in my prayers and thoughts!!
