Obituary of Marlene Weber

Please share a memory of Marlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Weber, Marlene Saginaw, Michigan (formerly of Kawkawlin MI) Marlene passed into God's Glory to be forever with our Lord on May 22, 2021, at 12:15 am, at the tender age of 84-- and now resides in the realm of Perfect Peace, pain free, and made perfectly whole as she was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus with open arms! We are so grateful that she no longer suffers and is free from the burden of her physical state. Marlene was born in Bay County, Michigan on January 25, 1937 to the late Adolf and Emma Stienke. She and her husband of nearly 67 years, Kenneth Carl Weber Sr., were active members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. She enjoyed being a wife, a mother to their 5 children, a homemaker, and spending time in the kitchen cooking & baking. Through the years she developed a treasure chest of tried-and-true recipes which only came together through her unique style of seemingly secret ingredients and methods which no one could duplicate. Her recipes, like Glace (German potato dumplings), not only became family favorites, but at family gatherings certain dishes almost became a mandatory requirement for her attendance. She was known for her summertime sun tea. Marlene loved family blueberry picking excursions, playing cards and games with family, friends, and loved ones, swimming and water aerobic activities at the YWCA while she was still physically able, kayaking with her husband Kenneth down the Au Sable River, perch fishing at one of their favorite spots (both summer & ice shanty fishing), which helped to keep her busy in the kitchen year-round. She was her own beautician and hair stylist, and even a bowling expert back in the day with an official bowling patch for her 7-10 split. Surviving Marlene are her husband, Kenneth; their 5 children, Ronda Kight & her husband Tim, Gwen Weber (and her son Kyle), Kari Davis & and her husband Jim (along with Kari's son Chase Hochberg & wife Haley, and Jim's children Brad Davis, and Julian & George Carlson), Lisa Goulet & and her husband Michael (along with Lisa's daughter Jesse Hamilton & her husband Jared with their four children Leland Asher, Alden Elliot, Cohen Wyatt, & Aila Sparrow Everly, and Michael's two children Michael P. Goulet, and Crystal Schiebner & her husband Matt with their two children Makayla & Madison), and son Kenneth Weber Jr. & his wife Shannon (along with daughters Eylssa & Gracie). Marlene was predeceased by all of her 6 siblings, Anne, Dorothy, Elsie, Eldora, Donna, & Clarence. The family thanks you for your prayers and sentiments as we assist our father during this transitional time. A small gathering is being planned and arrangements will be announced later.
