Mr. LaPlaunt, age 55, died on Sunday June 28, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region. David was born in Tawas, Michigan on June 30, 1964 to the late Leo J. and Grace (Colbath) LaPlaunt. David was active at North Bay Activity Center and loved comic books. Mr. LaPlaunt is survived by his 2 sisters, Sandra (Bill Thorson) Harrington of Bay City and Mary Miller of Bay City. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy LaPlaunt and brothers, Leo LaPlaunt III and Randy LaPlaunt. A Life Celebration will be held at 4:00 P.M., Monday July 6, 2020 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday July 6, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
