Ron, age 83 of Byron, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Ronald was born on February 2, 1936 in Connersville Indiana the son of the late Raymond P. and Jean A. (Jeffrey) Eshelman. The family moved to Royal Oak, Michigan where Ron attended Royal Oak High School. He married Frances J. (Bundshuh) on January 4, 1958 and started their life together in Clawson, MI. They had three children, and eventually relocated to Byron, MI in 1972. Ron worked at Rex Roto Corporation for 34 years, eventually becoming Senior Vice President of the company, retiring in 1998. Ron was an avid fisherman, and hunter. He also loved to work on cars and do woodworking. Ron is survived by his wife, Frances J. Eshelman, children Edward (Sue) Eshelman of Byron, Steve (Nancy) Eshelman of Adrian, and Carrie (Todd) Wilcox-Brewer of Byron. Siblings David (Pat) Eshelman of Sun City, Florida, Janet Detroyer of Sun City, Florida and Julie (Jerry) Link of Ferndale, Michigan. Grandchildren Dustin (Kara) Wilcox, Lindsey Eshelman, Weston (Carolyn) Eshelman, Kendall Wilcox, Jordan Eshelman, Jenna Eshelman, Kyle Brewer and Ryan Brewer. Great Grandchildren Bradley Battani, Hayden Wilcox and Isabella Brewer. Many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his son in law, Matthew "Buddy" Wilcox. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with a luncheon directly following, on Saturday April 20, 2019 at the Antrim Township Hall, 12014 S. Bancroft Road, Morrice. The family will receive friends at the hall on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Burns Twp.
