Joseph passed away February 24, 2019, at the age of 62. He was born June 5, 1956 to the late Kenneth Roy and Mary Francis VanConett. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and worked for the State of Michigan MDOT for 22 years. He enjoyed working on and fixing old cars, working out, bike riding, and building mountain bikes. He married Mary Jane Maybuena Opone October 15, 2005 in the Phillipines. He was a hardworking, intelligent and loving, husband, father, and uncle.
He survived by his wife, Mary Jane O. VanConett; children, Joseph R. VanConett Jr. and Alexandria (Josiah) Woods; and nephews, Jesse (Maria) VanConett and Jason (Marsha) Hargrove.
A Memorial Service with Luncheon will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at New Life Missionary Church, 3121 North Union Rd., Bay City, Michigan with Pastor Jonathan Boyer officiating.
