This is how I will always remember Marilu, a cousin, a friend and a travel companion.
When I was in my 20s and she was still a teen, we travelled all over Italy. I cannot describe in words the fun we had.
When we came across some cute guys, we pretended we couldn't speak the language, allowing them to make all the comments they wanted about us. At the end, when we were ready to get off the train, we would, in the most ridiculous way, let them know we understood everything they said.
I'll tell you, we came across lots of red faces on that trip.
Marilu, I love you, not just because you are family, but because of who you are, kind, considerate, loving, a friend who, when I needed the most, you listened to me and allowed me to cry on your shoulder.
The thing I most love about you, above all the others, is your free spirit. Now you are truly FREE. I often thought you must have had a native spirit in you because you loved EVERYTHING, the land and all in it .
Every time I looked at you, it was like looking into my Grandmother's face again.
How does one die so young???
You have left a void in my heart, I can't even begin to understand the void you left in your family.
Like my Mother and your Mother and you, born from the same tree, were that type of glue that holds everything and everybody together.
I wish you love and eternal peace on the other side of this thin veils that divides us.
My Deepest Condolences to you Dan, Jesse and Daniella and respective families To you Fran and husband. I know you and your sister were very close. I can assure you all of my prayers for courage, strength and peace.

My family moved next door to you when we were 15 years old and we soon became Best Friends.
MariLu: I close my eyes and I see you SPEEDING fearlessly around the curves on Moravian , us sliding from corner to corner in the front seat of your car that we called "tank" , with the music blaring, while you tried to get us to school on time. You were a thrill seeker. I see us looking in your yard for your Grandma and finding her up in the tree. You just laughed. I see us eating all your moms food that we loved. I see us going out to have fun and party by the "Oak tree". I hear Maggie May by Rod Stewart playing on your living room stereo making the house shake.
I remember meeting up with you when we were 18 years old in Italy for a few day. Through the years we have stated to each other that No one would ever be able to envision or even believe the fun we had that day in the Italian Rivera, Rimini, when we were CHASED by that crowd of 5o young guys during their ritual celebration . So many good times.
You are artistic, passionate, intelligent, loving. You give with all your heart. And I can not begin to express how upset and sad I am...
I will forever carry you in my heart. I love you.

I love Marilu and will miss her so so much. I loved keeping her company while she cooked dinner and taught me new recipes. I loved shopping with her and looking for great finds. I loved when I was a child and she let me play when I struggled to fall asleep at nap time while she was watching me. These are the first three that came to mind. I will carry these and a hundred more with me forever.

I am so saddened by this dear lady's passing. She worked for us years ago. She had a kind heart and a deep love for all animals. I know that her family and especially her grandchildren will miss her terribly. My deepest condolences to the family.

Sweet sweet Marilu. She was one of my best friends and garnered the most respect of all. She was the dearest lady but had the cahoonas to ask me not to smoke in her house for the health of her family and pets. No one had ever asked me to smoke outside. At first I was kinda offended but when I had to stand outside while missing out on her and Danny's jokes and humor, I found I missed them more than the cigarettes. She also asked me to puppysit a little schnauzer for them while they took the rest of the litter to Detroit. Needless to say, her wisdom and soft heart just knew I could not let it go when they returned. She was a smart, beautiful, wonderful credit to our gender. I am proud to say she was my friend and was like a sister to me. I will forever miss her. We may not see each other physically for a couple of years or more but when we got together, it was as if we were never apart. The laughs and stories began the moment we were done hugging. Her family was very blessed to have her influence their lives. We love you and off you our sympathies. Beth and Greg Langford
