Passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the age of 56. He was born on September 28, 1961 to Rose and the late Bernard Shotwell in Bay City, MI. Fred was always quick with a joke and loved to tear up a dance floor. He was an avid football fan but especially cheered for University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed post-game discussions with his nephews who played for Bay City Central High School.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; son, Andrew (Kim Marquardt); grandson, Ayden; siblings, Joe (Kim) Shotwell, Cathy (Mike) Flynn, Mike (Debbie) Shotwell, Donna (Wai) Lam, Diane (Ken) Holka, Mary (Jon Morse) O'Shea, Ann (Pat) McNeal, Mark (Danielle) Shotwell, and Gwen (Mike) Bond; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Devin; his father, Bernard Shotwell; and nephew, Austin Holka.
