Obituary of Patricia Foss Stevenson

Stevenson, Patricia "Pat" Foss Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Formerly of Bay City MI) Patricia "Pat" Foss Stevenson entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with her family by her side. She was born April 14, 1938 in Bay City to the late Betsy (Boutell) Foss and S. Dillon Foss and they preceded her in death. Pat graduated from Bay City Central High school in 1956 and attended Sullins College, University of Arizona and Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught at Dolsen School in Bay City and held positions as beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics and Younkers. Pat was a talented painter and sketch artist. She was a great fan of Michigan State football and could often be found on Saturdays in the fall in front of a TV cheering on her beloved Spartans. On December 28, 1960 Pat married the great love of her life, George W. Stevenson; they had many wonderful years together and were an inspiration to their family. Pat is survived by 2 daughters and their spouses: Fritzi (William Kozuch) Stevenson and Shannon (Todd) Brunner; 5 grandchildren: Rachel and Emily Doriean, Samuel Brunner, Morgan Kozuch and Khristina (Neal) Petrucci; 2 great grandchildren: Marco and Mia Petrucci; her beloved sister Fritzi Johns; brothers in law Fred and Patrick (Camille) Nitschky; many nieces and nephews and 2 very special friends: Christine Gavrila and Alan Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband George on January 26, 2009, parents in law: E. Clark and Sally Nitschky, brothers in law Harold Stevenson, Clark Nitschky and Ed Johns, and sister in law Lynne Tyrell. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Angie Williams for her loving and compassionate care of Pat throughout this past year. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City MI with Pastor Jon Essex officiating. A private interment will be made in Elm Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4 PM to 8 PM In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Memorial Contributions to Delta College Public Broadcasting or the Bay County Humane Society.
