Obituary of Margaret "Meg" C. Vine

Vine, Margaret C. "Meg" (Hammond) Bancroft, Michigan Mrs. Vine, age 53, was taken home to Jesus her Lord and Savior on Friday March 17, 2017. Margaret Carolyn Hammond was born at Vandenberg AFB, Lompoc, California on February 22, 1964 to Gary C. and Susan R. (Shubick) Hammond. Meg has lived in Bancroft area most of her life and was a 1982 graduate of Morrice High School. She was a 1991 graduate of Baker College, Owosso. She was an Administrative Assistant at Morrice Area Schools since 1994. Meg married Gordon J. Vine in Owosso on October 8, 2000. She and Gordon are active with the Bancroft Congregational Church. Mrs. Vine is survived by her husband Gordon, her 3 children; Melissa "Missy" Tribley of Morrice, Bill (Carolanne) Tribley of Beaufort, SC and Emily (Dustin) Chamberlain of Morrice. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Abi Beem, Kenzie Beem, Jax Edington, Claire Chamberlain and Conner Chamberlain, her parents Gary and Sue Hammond of Bancroft, her brother Tim (Eileen) Hammond of Morrice and father in law Don (Betty) Barraball of Ontario, Canada, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by faithful companion Henry. A Life celebration service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Morrice High School Gymnasium, 691 Purdy Lane, Morrice, Michigan 48857. Pastor Todd Evans will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Morrice High School Gymnasium on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Morrice Area Schools-Margaret "Meg" Vine Memorial Fund.
