Obituary of Margaret L. Belknap

Belknap, Margaret L. Bay City, MI Margaret, age 87, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. She was born in West Branch Michigan on February 14, 1930 to the late Ray and May Swain. She married James Belknap at First Presbyterian Church in Bay City on October 20, 1950, and he survives her. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and joined Bay Chapter #219 O.E.S. in January 1956. She is a Past Worthy Grand Matron of the State of Michigan O.E.S. and served her chapter as secretary for 40 years. Although she enjoyed her time spent with chapter activities and playing cards, her greatest joy in life was family. Her love of her family was her life, and any time spent with Jim, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was treasured. She is survived by Jim, her husband of 66 years; sons, Dennis Belknap and Mike (Cheryl) Belknap all of Bay City; grandchildren, Samantha, Rose, Shane, and Jennifer Belknap; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Midland St., Bay City, MI with Rev. Matthew Schramm officiating. The family will be at church to receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
