Miss Ramseyer, age 94, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at Bay Shores Nursing Center.
Helen Betty was born in Monitor Township on July 24, 1922 to the late Otto & Elizabeth (Maibach) Ramseyer. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church since 1942. Helen was a bookkeeper for the Bay City Times retiring in 1985. She was very involved in volunteering for the American Red Cross, Woodhaven Assisted Living in Livonia, Mi. and Apostolic Christian Church Harvest Call.Helen is survived by her nieces & nephews, Dale (Mary) Ramseyer, Daryl
Ramseyer, Larry (Nara) Ramseyer, Neil (Sharon) Ramseyer, Vern (Roxane) Ramseyer, Linda (David) Steffen, Dean (Holly) Ramseyer & Pam Ormston; 24 great nieces & nephews, & 16 great great nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Orville Ramseyer, sister Leah Ramseyer, her brothers & sisters in law Ralph & Lillian Ramseyer, & Earl & Mary Ramseyer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Apostolic Christian Church in Kawkawlin, MI. The church clergy will officiate with burial following in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2017, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at the church on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Woodhaven Senior Living at Bay City.
