Mrs. Marek, age 88, died on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at her home. Madge was born in Leesburg, Ohio on March 6, 1928 to the late Elmer and Rosa (Keller) Canter. Madge was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Bay City. Mrs. Marek is survived by her 7 children; Calvin Gardner of Bay City, Donna Sawyer of Bay City, Joyce (Tom) Bills of Bay City, Barney J. Ludwig of Bay City, Loretta (Michael) Hinkley of Bay City, Barb (Ken) Snow of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Art Ludwig and Mary OberMiller of Bay City. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; Jeanette (Dustin) Davis, Jason (Marina) Ballor, Christal (Edward) Williams, Janelle (Jamie) Peliter, Gary (Jessica) Spiker, Sarah Hinkley and Doug Pauly, Stephanie Sawyer, Nicole Hinkley and Nick LaRose, Bobbie Jo (Jason) Ayala, Tommy (Nancy) Bills, Amanda Spiker and Tom Hill, Alex Ludwig and Amber Suminski, Molly Bills & Faith Bills, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Karl. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday February 20, 2017 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. Pastor Bill Alwardt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
