Obituary of Norma Ruth Goulet

Goulet, Norma R. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Goulet, age 85, died on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Toni and Trish House, Auburn. Norma was born in Bay City on November 7, 1931 to the late William and Iva (Truckner) Blissner. She married LouWellen Goulet in Sault Ste. Marie on September 16, 1950. They owned and operated Fritz & Al's Bar in Bay City until retiring in 1988. Mrs. Goulet is survived by her 4 children; Pam (Dave) Doan of Bay City, William LouWellen Goulet (Karen Holvey) of Bay City, Cathy Goulet (Ron Wagner) of Reese and Nancy (Howard) Meyer of Munger. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; Traci Whyte of Essexville, Chris Goulet of Bay City, Ami (Marc) Fischer of Freeland, Rachel Bailey of Reese, Nic Meyer (Sarah Warczynski) of Bay City and Troy (Rachael) Meyer of Vassar, 5 great-grandchildren; Brook, Landon, Madelyn, Lucas and Charlee; her sister Elaine "Cookie" (Dale) Newton of Vassar; brother –in- law James Nichols of Houghton Lake; many nieces and nephews; and her closest friend, Sharon Good. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie, sister Marilyn "Nonie" Nichols and niece Deborah Nearman. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday February 4, 2017 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. Pastor Jeff Temple will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
