To my friend Art. I was blessed to have worked for over 16 years with you. It was truly a pleasure and an HONOR to have you in my life. I will forever carry you with me in my memories until we meet again on resurrection day! GOD surly has called home an angel. I remember how much you loved eagles so now go and fly with them for eternity.

Art was my neighbor back in the 1980's when I was a child. He was part of the big extended family of people that lived on my street/block. I was an unusual child in that I preferred the friendship of adults compared to others my own age. He never was condescending to me the way some adults can be to children. He was one of my mentors who taught he how to be a happy, well-adjusted, mature person.
As time moved on, so did we geographically. I never forgot him though and it was always a delightful surprise running into him around town. With his cheerful smile and good nature, it was impossible to have a bad day after seeing him.
It's been a few years since I last had run into him and missed him dearly. It saddens me to know I'll never have that chance again.
Many condolences to those who were closer to him in his life. May your hearts be filled with the love of those who also cherished him.
Sincerely,
Crystal Smith
Essexville

Art was a great friend and was always looking out for everyone he touched and cared about his family and friends. I would always see him at the gym and he would encourage me to keep it up. He always had a hug and sweet words for me when ever I saw him. My heart goes out to his family . And want to say how much he meant to me.

I met Art when he visited with us at Hope Lutheran Church to be with his great friends, Pastor Roger and Eddie Bauer. What a sweet person he was and always smiling and friendly. I am so sorry for the loss of this kind man and I know his loss will be felt by many. Doris Michalski

I still share memories about Artie and the tomatoes and cucumbers we got in Romania while touring with BBC high school choir (under the direction of Mr. James Leonard). What a special time with many special friends!
