Don & Martha,
Our hearts go out to you, we know the extreme pain of being a son. Just not the way it is suppose be? Please accept our thoughts, love and prayers as you go through this time of grief but know that you will always keep him alive in your hearts.
Share your memories freely which helps not only yourselves but it lets others know it is ok to talk about Ben.
Adam Chevalier(grandson) said to please tell Tortino he said he was very sorry for his loss of his best friend.

Ben was a Great Person. He and I go back to some of the best time in my life, MDA Summer Camp. I knew that wonderful young man with a heart of gold early and then years later became his houseparent. Not only was it a chance to get to know Ben better but it allowed me to play with an Amazing Dog, Bucky, after Ben turned in for the night! He was an ideal camper and a fine young man. Ben will surely be missed by anyone who knew him as I personally can attest to. I am thankful for knowing him and to be able to call him my Friend! Rest in peace Ben.

My heart is so very sad for Ben's family and friends, his extended Fish Tales family and everyone that had the special privilege of knowing him. But at the same time I'm happy that he is free of the confines of the disease that he endured for so very long.
He had an incredible will and a very sharp wit , he could dish it out at the drop of a hat! His long life was an inspiration to many, I'm sure , and his mom, dad and siblings and wonderful caregivers certainly had much to do with that. I have many fond memories of Ben's younger days, before he was confined to his wheelchair. Now he is free to walk, run, fly with the angels!! Rest in peace Ben, love to you and your family!
