Obituary of Hubert F. Newman

Hubert F. Newman Essexville, Michigan Mr. Hubert Newman, age 91, died Saturday March 26, 2016. Hubert was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 5, 1924 to the late Archie and Myrtle (McCreery) Newman. He married Eleanor Stewart on December 5, 1970. Hubert served in the United States Army, helped with the newsletter for his company, and continued to keep in touch with many of his Army friends. He was also very interested in his family genealogy, keeping in contact with relatives digging deep to find out all he could. He is survived by his sister Margaret (Cranston) of Grand Ledge, MI; his son, Gary (Mary) Newman of Auburn, MI; daughters, Missy Anderson of Ft. Myers, FL, and Janet (Paul) Newman-Rinck of Campbell, CA. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Jon (Jennifer) Harrod, and Erin (Brandon) Poltorak; niece Cindy Sanders of Lansing, MI; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor in April 2009, his sister Virginia and brothers Paul and Fred. We would like to thank Dee and ALL the wonderful staff at Linwood Residences for their loving care in the last few weeks, as well as his Hospice team from Southern Care. Per Hubert's request, cremation has taken place and no memorial service is planned. He and Eleanor will be placed together in a niche at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
