Edward P Duffey III passed away at his home, January 5, 2016, surrounded by family. Ed was 66 years old and a loving father and grandfather. He was born November 15, 1949 to
the late Edward P and Kathryn (Hall) Duffey Jr..
Ed was born and raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, were he attend both elementary and high school. In 1967 he left school and enlisted in the United States Army. He served with the 24th Inf. in Germany and in 1968, was sent to Vietnam and served at Camp Holloway in Pleiku, with the 526 Combat Aviation Battalion, 1st Avm Bde , 179th Ash Co, from March 18, 1968 until June 18, 1969 when he returned to the United States.
After returning home from the service, he worked at Sears as a HI-LO driver for 20 years. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, & riding his Honda. Most of all, he enjoyed being with family, especially his grandchildren. Ed was a joy to be around and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ed is survived by his son Greg (Marshella) Duffey of St. Clair Shores MI; brother and sister, Larry Duffey and Jeri Smith, both of Rose city, MI; grandchildren, Courtney and Jonothan Dufey of St. Clair Shores MI; special friend Leila "Lea" Sansote of Rose City MI; many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ed was predeceased by his sister Vivian Radford and brother-in-law Leonard Smith.
