Obituary of John A. Bauman

Bauman, John A. Reese, MI Mr. Bauman passed away, Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born October 14, 1936 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Andrew and Marie (DeShone) Bauman. He married the former Nancy L. Ware on June 1, 1957 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Saginaw Michigan and she survives him. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church & the Knights of Columbus. He served on the Jaycees, the Catholic School Board, as a church usher, and in numerous capacities throughout his life in his church. He had worked at Baker Perkins for over 20 years and was retired from General Motors – Steering Gear. His heart was always filled with his love for his family, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and his pets. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy. Also surviving are his daughters, Ann Bauman (Gary) Johnson, Beth Wollar, and Carol (Alan) DeOlloqui; grandchildren, Michael and Stephanie Wollar; his sister, Marilyn Stevens; many nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved dog "Chance". He was predeceased by his son in law, Philip Wollar and his brothers Robert and James Bauman. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 4 PM, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 12835 E. Washington Rd., Reese, Michigan. Fr. David Jenuwine will officiate. The family will receive friends at church on Tuesday from 2PM – 4PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School, an animal related charity, or the charity of the donor's choice.
