Obituary of Geraldine "Geri" M. Meyer

Meyer, Geraldine "Geri" Bay City, Michigan Geri passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born May 30, 1928 in Bay City to the late Gerardus and Hattie (Sterling) Dishaw. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She enjoyed Bingo, Gardening, and spending time and helping family. Geraldine was a cook at the Market Restaurant and did wallpapering and painting in the area for many years. She is survived by her son Dennis (Delores) Jean , 2 stepdaughters Gisela (John) Stogner, and Sonja (Jack) Wulz; 8 grandchildren, Denise (Thom) LaBelle, Dennis (Sherry) Jean, Terry (DeeAnn) Jean, Jason Jean, Kaci Wright, Brian (Kristin) Stogner, Angela Deaton, Stefani Threadgill; 18 great-grandchildren, Stevie Jo (Jeff) Williams, Kyle Filcek, Timmy Kajdan, Brandy Jean, Brianna Jean, Bernard Jean, Zack Valincourt, Duane Jean "D.J." , Danyele Jean, JayJay Jean, Anthony Jean, Jayson Stogner, Cadence Stogner, Peighton Stogner, Jaxson Deaton, Dawson Deaton, Laney Deaton, Kennedy Threadgill; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Williams and Bayleigh Rae Williams and her brother Gerald (Carmie) Dishaw of Bay City. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Meyer, her son, Duane Jean and 2 brothers; Ronald and Virgil Dishaw. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, 501 S. Catherine St., Bay City, MI. Rev. Andreas Teich will officiate with burial to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City MI on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 3PM – 8 PM, and at church on Friday from 10 AM until service time.
