Obituary of Margaret "Peg" L. Forbush
Forbush, Margaret L. "Peg"
Byron, Michigan
Peg Forbush completed her work here on earth on January 9th at the age of 83. She was born on April 28, 1941, in St. Louis, Michigan, and grew up on the shores of Lake Ponemah. She fell in love with Marshall Forbush and took on a whole new adventure as a farmer. Peg embraced this new way of life with passion and dedication, working alongide her husband for 47 years. Coming full circle, Peg passed away on the very land upon which she and Marshall started their farm life together, now the location of Henry Ford Health-Genesys.
A woman of profound faith, Peg taught Sunday School at the Byron Methodist Church for 50 years. She was also a 4-H sewing leader, mentor for Mothers of Pre-Schoolers and volunteer at Byron Elementary School. In addition, she was active in FFA PALS, Farm Bureau and FFA Alumni. Peg was always bringing people together. For many years she hosted large extended family gatherings, her life was a testament to her love for her family and community.
Peg was a woman who saw the best in people, who nurtured growth in both the soil and the soul, and who believed in the power of prayer and perseverance. Her legacy is not just in the land she farmed, or the children she raised, but in the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit and generous heart. As we honor the life of Peg, let us remember that the essence of her being was to love and be loved. Her story encourages us all to live with intention, to cherish our loved ones, and to make a positive impact on the world around us.
