Obituary of Janae "Nae Nae" McCure

Janae Alexanderia McCure, known affectionately as Nae Nae to her friends and family, passed away in her hometown of Bay City, Michigan. Born on May 29, 1991, to her loving parents Kelly McCure and Johnnie Alexander, Janae's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her.

Janae's life was one marked by her passionate love for music, which was as much a part of her as her radiant smile. She found freedom on the back of her minibike, riding through the streets of Bay City with the wind in her hair and a sense of adventure in her heart. Her three beloved dogs, Polo, Remi, and Tido, were her constant companions, sharing in her love and adding to the warmth of her home.

Those who knew Janae will remember her for her loving nature, her sense of humor that could light up the darkest room, and her spirited personality that never failed to leave a lasting impression in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Janae leaves behind a family who cherished her deeply: her parents, Kelly McCure and Johnnie Alexander; her siblings, Nichole Blossey, Matthew Blossey, Jordan McCure, Johnnie Hascall, Jeremie Hascall, Shaelyn Alexander, and Rashawn Alexander. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her grandparents and her closest friend, Jon Jon.

As we remember Janae, we celebrate the time we were privileged to share with her. Her life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and spirited energy that will not be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City, Michigan 48708. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Pastor Marcell Smith will officiate.
