Obituary of Richard Lloyd Hebner

Richard L. Hebner passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. 

Dick was born in Bay City MI on February 6, 1934 to Lloyd and Mary Belle Hebner.  He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, JeAnne Hebner, as well as sons Richard (Joy) Hebner II, Michael (Jeanne) Hebner and Alan (Renita) Hebner, as well as nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and his first great-great grandchild expected in October, sisters Mary Brendel and Kay (Bill) Coons, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends.  In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister Sally Flickinger, by his mother and father-in-law Lowell and Marion Aspin, sisters-in-law JoAnne Deuscher and Marisue Glass Bittner, and brothers-in-law Ronald Deuscher, William Glass, John Bittner, Daniel Flickinger and Raymond Brendel.  

Dick was a dedicated member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 65 years, having served four terms as an Elder and one as Deacon, decades in the Chancel Choir, and many years on the property committee.   He was a proud retired Veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retiree of Tri-City/MBS Airport. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Midland St, Bay City, MI  48706 on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 am, with the Reverend Linda Williams officiating.  The family will greet visitors from 10:00 am -11:00 am at the church.   A committal service with full military honors will be conducted at a future date at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
