I had the privilege of working with Cliff at my store Anchors Away which started on Midland Street and then moved to the Bay City Mall. Cliff was always positive and a pleasure to work with. He will surely be missed.

We will miss Cliff letting us know, as soon as summer ended, how many days until Spring! He was always friendly, telling us everything was "looking good" in our yard when he drove past.

Clifford was a great neighbor and always had a kind word for everyone. He joked with young kids about being Clifford the 'Big Red Dog". The world lost a kind gentlemen. We will miss him when we walk by his house. His kind words always made us feel good.

The first time I met Clifford he came into my place of business wearing a red pullover sweater and announced "Hi, I'm Clifford....the big red dog - do you know who that is". I laughed and said I did as my children watched the cartoon when they were young. I knew from that visit on that Clifford and I were going to be friends. I had several conversations with Clifford and Della and they were one of my favorite couples of all times. Clifford shared my love of jigsaw puzzles and after he was done with one he would bring it in to me. The last time I saw him on October 25th, he brought a puzzle in. I haven't had a chance to put it together yet but when I do my thoughts will be with you Clifford - the big red dog. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. My deepest condolences to Della and all of Clifford's family and friends. I am sure he is in Heaven working on a puzzle or doing some gardening or yard work. I'll miss you Clifford.

We are fortunate to have had Cliff and Della as neighbors for many years. Cliff was always friendly to any passerby and ready with a humorous story or a joke. He will be sorely missed, but we feel happy to have known him as a bright light in our neighborhood over the years.

Aunt Della. We will always remember Uncle Cliff. One of the best uncles we could have. He could make every one he talked to smile and he told the funniest stories. He will always be Clifford the big red Dog to all of us. We love you
