Dolores, age 89, passed away on Thursday October 12, 2023.  Dolores was born August 27, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Roman and Christine (Walkowiak) Mindykowski.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church for over 50 years.  She enjoyed knitting and served many years on the funeral dinner committee.  Mrs. Kern is survived by her son Randy J. Kern of Saginaw, 4 grandchildren, Jeremy (Sara) Kern, Joshua Kern, Kayla (Garrett) Brown, and Brandon Kern.  Also surviving are 3 great grandchildren, Allison, Landon and Nora; sister in law Barb Cook, nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Tony Kern in 2017; her sons, Darrell and Wayne D. Kern; brother Lawrence Mindykowski.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday October 23, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Reese, Father Andy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.   Interment will take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.hyattewald.com
