Obituary of David Archie Morley
Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David Archie Morley, age 59, of Bay City, Michigan passed away in the early morning of May 31, 2023 with his wife by his side. He was born on December 26, 1963 to the late Archie Morley and Janice Morley in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of the Local BCTTM 263G with Michigan Sugar Co. where he was employed for ten years as a Quality Control Specialist, and he had also worked for Euclid Industries for 25 years as a Machinist.
David was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt, the Detroit Red Wings, loved the American Flag, eagles and anything Chevrolet. In his younger years, you could often find David tinkering under the hood of one of his many trucks. As David grew older, family was the most important thing in his life. You could always get him to join in on a game of Yahtzee or Michigan Rummy, where he didn’t hesitate to collect money from one of the grandkids. The door was always open and so many memories were made in a house full of family, love and laughter. David was loved by many, but cherished by his wife, kids, and grandkids.
David is survived by his loving wife, Heather, whom he married November 14, 2021, after courting her for 34 years. He is also survived by their children, Alan (Renee) Socia, Brandi (Richard) Smith, and James (Stacie) Reed; nine grandchildren, Hailey (Nevada), Aspen, Braydon, Cameron, Ravino, Jackson, Teegan, Jerzey, and Araceli; sisters, Elizabeth (Ron) Padavan and Ann (Tom) Staudacher; brother, Jonathan (Mikkie) Morley; niece, Crysta; nephews, Alex and Troy; and great-nephew, Franklin.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. To sign online guestbook, visit www.hyattewald.com Arrangements made with the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home.
