Kayla Marie (Hull) Colby
On August 1, 2022 , at the age of 27, Kayla Marie (Hull) Colby gained her wings and is flying with her brother Ashton, as they are watching over their kids. Kayla was born on March 18, 1995, to Brandy Hull and Jason Clark in Petoskey, MI.
She was an amazing daughter, mom, sister, and friend, and a beautiful young soul. She had two amazing children that were her world. Kayla was a beautiful young soul. Kayla loved her boys, Seathan and Owan and she would say they were “my whole world”. Her smile and her words would brighten your day if you were having a bad day and she was always willing to help anyone she could. She had a love for music that started at a very young age and was very talented. At the age of six she was interested in the trumpet and eventually became a member of the band, playing the trumpet and even the tuba from 6th to 12th grade for both Carrollton middle and high schools. She even had the nickname of “Tuba”.
Kayla was a tomboy and loved working and learning about vintage cars. She studied auto mechanics at the career center, and after graduation, she worked on cars. She loved working on cars, and any guy she worked with was proud of her work. She also loved camping, participating traditional family activities, and being a member of the Big Brother Big Sisters program.
She was also a non-emergency driver, and her passion was taking clients to their appointments, especially the older ladies, being loved by all the people for whom she drove. Kayla’s smile and laugh will be missed.
