Obituary of Susan Beth Horner

Horner, Susan B. (Blankenship) Bay City, Michigan Susan, age 65, was called home after her battle with cancer on Monday June 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Susan Beth Blankenship was born in Bay City on May 18, 1957 to the late David and Elizabeth (Caldwell) Blankenship. Susan proudly owned and operated a Daycare for twenty years. She was a member of the Salvation Army - Bay City Citadel where she was a leader in the Sunbeam and Girl Guard for many years. Susan is survived by her children, Tammy (Ruperto) Trevino Jr., Audrey (Carl) Littlefield, Nicole (Tony) Horner, and Jennifer Horner. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers, Deborah (Rick) Blankenship, David Gregory Blankenship, Daniel (Sandy) Blankenship, and Kathy (Dave) Jankowski. She was preceded in death by her husband Gayle “Rob” Horner; daughter, Melissa Saelens; and sons, Matthew Saelens and Adam Horner. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday June 10, 2022 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe Street, Bay City. Major Shirley Myers will officiate. A private family burial will take place. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday June 10, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. The family invites those who cannot be in attendance to join them for the service via Livestream.
