To the Winsky family my sincere condolences. Worked with Michael for many years at both WSYM (WFSL) and WLAJ. He would fill me in on the girls progress he was so proud! He was such a professional and contributed so much to broadcasting engineering in addition to his full time work. Will be missed.

Mike was a great colleague and highly respected. He received the prestigious Carl E. Lee Engineering Excellence Award - Television in 2012. Our paths crossed when he was with WSYM, WLAJ, and WILX. He will be missed.

While I didn't work with Mike, I knew him as a broadcast colleague through the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He was held in high regard by those who worked with him and he will be missed by the engineering community. Take comfort in the knowledge that he was known and appreciated by those who knew him.

Sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Mike mentored me at WLAJ from 1990-93. He was very patient with me and I learned a lot in a short period of time. I enjoyed my time working for Mike.

Deepest sympathy to the Winsky family. I also knew Mike through the broadcast field. He was a kind, generous man who never hesitated to share his knowledge or to provide encouragement. Hard working fellow who lead by example. I was very lucky to know and work with him. I am very sad to learn of his passing. Peace.

Awesome man, Excellent teacher, mentor and friend. I worked with Mike for 13 years, he was one of the best most knowledgeable people I have ever worked with and worked for. One heck of an engineer!. Mike will be sorely missed and his family has my prayers.
