Barb and Bob Jr wishing you comfort in time of sorrow. Barb I remember when you and Bob started dating. He always took the time to talk to me, he was such a tease, and those Cigars he smoked. We always had nice chats too when I was working at Rite Aid. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Tell Bob Jr l miss him and our chats too.

My memories of uncle Bob go way back to before he married Aunt Barb. I was a little kid and remember how he played with us just like a kid himself. One time in particular stands out when we were all at Aunt June and Uncle Elmers place on the lake for 4th of July. Uncle Bob came up with the idea to have us sit or stand on this big inner tube and then him and others would throw the tube and us into the air and we’d land in the water. He played just as hard as us kids. In my mind I can still see Uncle Bob on the dance floor at family weddings and remember Aunt Barb calling him rubber legs. Aunt Barb and Uncle Bob were the first boy friend and girl friend couple I remember. As I kid I didn’t know what it meant to be a girl friend or boy friend. All I knew was it took a lot of time to write letters to your boyfriend. Aunt Barb was always writing letters to her boyfriend Bob.
I remember as a kid I would always ask if Uncle Bob was going to be there when we had to go to a family gathering. He was just one of those people you liked to be around. I remember riding my bike to and from my baseball games because it would take me right past their house and sometimes I would get to stop and say hello if they were outside. Even as I got older I looked forward to the times Uncle Bob and Aunt Barb would be out for a drive and stop by in the street in front of my parents house for a short visit. Uncle Bob introduced me to Rock & Rye pop at their wedding. I remember their wedding as the longest day in my life as a kid. Getting up real early, putting on a tux and then sitting in church listening to some guy speak a language I didn’t understand was a terrible way for a kid to start out the day but it got better from there. Ridding around blowing the horns with Uncle Bobs cool friends made the day better. I also remember he was the one who introduced me to putting mustard on a Turkey sandwich. Uncle Bob was one of the good guys and will be missed.
