Obituary of Ronita Ann Snyder

Ronita Ann (Schoenherr) Snyder of Midland, Michigan died after a long struggle with cancer, on June 8, 2021 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Ronita was born September 24, 1956 to Ronald & Anita (Jacobson) Schoenherr at Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Most of her childhood was spent in Madison Heights & at Finn Camp Association & Loon Lake. Family trips, & summer vacations were spent going to Ironwood to visit her Grandma Mumu. Her family moved to the Sanford area in 1973. She married Joseph Snyder on June 13, 1981 in Sanford, Michigan. Ronita graduated from Saginaw Valley in 1978, with a BA in Sociology and minor in Psychology. She worked for the United Way of Saginaw, and later worked as a tech at Dow Corning in the TS&D lab for 15 years. She left Dow after she was first diagnosed with Cancer; and she was very blessed to have been in remission for many years. Ronita was an avid book reader and loved reading a good book, magazine, or paper and would share them with anyone. She enjoyed cooking, and planting flowers, vegetables, & herbs for cooking. She was a great cook. She loved watching Jeopardy, and PBS miniseries & sports with her dad. She was a fun loving & caring mother, and enjoyed Antique shops, traveling throughout Michigan to various festivals, camping, and historic places. Washington D.C. & Arizona were some of her favorite trips; she always had great ideas, and sometimes they didn’t always turn out as expected (floating picnic table). Surviving are her son, Derald Snyder; her father, Ronald Schoenherr; brothers, William (Chris) Schoenherr, Gregory Schoenherr, and Joseph (Candi) Schoenherr; many cousins, nieces & nephews; and great-nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Anita Schoenherr; grandparents; and uncles, Donald Jacobson & Howard Schoenherr. A Graveside Prayer is planned 11 AM, July 30, 2021 at Lee Township Cemetery, S.
